Install error when converting NT7 data

HI I installed beta 2 fresh today the install went fine and then asked if I wanted to convert NT7 files I said yes.

After a couple of hours of conversions were the CPU would frequently be +10% the conversion stopped at Migrating Market Replay data 5/26/15 and froze. The CPU is at 0 %.

the app was unresponsive and needed to be forced closed with Task Manager .

I tried this twice with same result.When I restart NT and i say no to converting data the program loads. I am noticing some strange anomalies in operation and will report back when i have defined them.

The program did import my historical data, market replay data , connection data , and ATM strategies but no templates or workplaces

Looking at the logs if appears I had some corrupted data. NT8 was not able to chew through this and give acceptable results. When I worked with chart after the install some the the drawing tools did not work correctly for example the fib tool would not drag beyond the middle of the chart. I appeared that the data was somehow corrupted and the drawing tools didn't know how to work with it.

I delete the install and started fresh and said no to converting my NT7 configurations.

Do you still have this data for me to test on my end?

If so, create backup of the historical data and then send the backup file via wetransfer.

this was mostly futures data

I can create a backup of the historical data and such from my NT7 you can then do a new install and try and covert the data to see what happened

the size of the backup file is 5.8 GB I think this site will only transfer 2 GB with a fee is that correct? If so do you have another alternative?

Hello James108,

That is quite a bit of data and would take a very long time to transfer and import.

Instead, I think I may want to try small sample sizes of this data and see if we can reproduce.
