At this time we chose to keep the NinjaTrader 7 and previous implementation of the Candlestick chart style that our user base is used to. However you can feel free to modify and create your own custom chart style to meet your needs.

There will be file sharing section for all NinjaScript types including chart styles, bar types, drawing tools that our users can share amongst the community just like we had with indicators. If you do end up making these changes, feel free to share them. We'll have that section built when we go public beta.

I would certainly also be interested in this feature, which is an option I use in Tradestation when charting against a dark background, not only for better performance but because it is visually more precise and comfortable to look at.
            Thank you.

Tcust posted the code there for those style candles. Download and use it.

                Hi Sledge,
Thank you for pointing that out.
I clicked on @candlestyle.cs , downloaded, and got a file called "attachment.php." I have no idea what that is (where is @candlestyle.cs?), how to import that into NT8 or how to access it once it's there. I'm a very low tech discretionary trader; I don't use any indicators or oscillators, etc. The only thing on my charts are horizontal lines and candles, and I would prefer this style. Any instructions for importing this would be greatly appreciated.
                Best Regards

If you have problem with "bar width"

                    1. Squeeze chart grid ( on time axis ) to minimum, and replace "Bar width" to 1

                    2. Extend chart grid ( on time axis ), to optimal chart for you

                    3. Left click on Chart, and -> Templates -> Save As Default

Experiment with this setting "bar width", and save optimal for you in Default template, I use this algoritm, I do not know why it is so. *I know but not understand how fix it

Ps. For me this quality chart if compare with TradeStation and other, maybe someone else will improve code...

Wouldn't it be better to create and add a new chart style vs overwriting the default?

With 3 small modifications to your code.. In State.Defaults changing Name to (CandleStickNB) and giving it a custom ChartStyleType (802), then changing Class Name (CandleStyleNB).. You can now add this to the same folder and have both..

I write instruction for "Green User's"

Using up/down arrow keys, not resolve problem for fixing "bar width" = 1, on the maximal compressed chart ( calibration ), this need only one time for save template and correct resize all other time.

Ps. I have low level on C#, not good understand how Ninja caclulate this bar width from standart parameters... and English not good

Ps2. After calibration, not need use ALT + UP/DWN we have best chart's

                            I change Instruction on CandleStyleNB.cs

Thanks, but you did all the work.. I just fixed it so I could look at what you did on a chart without having to overwrite my default candlesticks..
