Enabling Strategy w/Bogus Instrument

Hi,
I accidentally typed in a bogus instrument name when adding a strategy to the strategies tab on the control center. It accepted it. Not only that, I was able to enable the strat!

Seems to me that NT should not have allowed either situation to occur.

Thank you for your post.

This behavior is as we would expect - when an instrument which is not present in NinjaTrader's instrument list is typed in this prompts NinjaTrader to create an instrument for the symbol which was entered. Strategies can be enabled on any instrument regardless of whether real-time data is present however the strategy cannot actually do anything without data.

With this said, I will forward your feedback regarding this to our development staff for further consideration.
