Feature request : Calculate Indicators to last bar shown on chart

NT Team,

In NT8, it would seem Indicators always calculate up to the last data point available in the database. This differs to NT7, where Indicators could calculate up to the last data point shown on the chart.

In NT7, in a chart you could "step" through the evolution of Indicators one bar at a time. This was achieved by scrolling back in time and reloading NinjaScripts. At this point, Indicators would only calculat up to the last bar shown. By stepping through one bar at a time, you were able to ensure Indicators were behaving as expected.

This feature was not available for NT7 Strategies which always calculated up to the last data point available in the database.

In NT8, please allow the Indicators to calculate up to the last bar shown in a chart. If possible, please allow this feature for Strategies as well.

Yes, this was always a problem trying to step through Strategies in NT7, which forced me to recode strategies as indicators just so that I could step through them. Please restore the NT7 behavior of indicators so that I can continue to use this workaround.

Better yet, make it so the we can one-step through strategies natively.

I do not have any additional information at this time. This is an actively tracked feature request with 4 votes currently.

I would recommend monitoring the release notes of future releases to see if this change has been implemented. Here is a link:
