    multi-timeframe indicator historical data issue

    Hi,
    I can't prove it, but here is what I think is happening.
    I open up a range chart.
    I drop an indictor on the chart that loads a secondary 1 minute dataseries which it uses for it's calcs.
    The historical data for the tick/range loads, however, the historical data for the minute data series does not.
    The result is that I get goofy results from the indicator because it doesn't have the up to date historical data.
    Is there some way to tell NT to reload all referenced dataseries' historical data?
    Should NT be doing that automatically?

    Right clicking on the chart and selecting "Reload all historical data" should reload all series that are loaded on the chart, including indicators. However adding an indicator to a chart should be loading all historical data for that added series as well.

    We should be able to debug the situation if you are seeing this at any frequency. Do you have the script that you're adding that we can test on our end?

    You can also send us screen shots of the indicator not loading correctly, as well as your log and trace files for the time it occurred and we can look to see if there was a bars request for the minute series added to your range chart.

      Also, can you confirm you have these settings per the previous post you made on loading historical data?


      The data loading rules should have handled that for you. Please make sure you have your market data options set up optimally: Tools-> Options-> Market data-> "Historical" ensure you have checked "get data from server" and under "Real-time", ensure you have un-checked "record live data as historical".

        I had the "record live data as historical" checkbox checked. I unchecked it. I will test some more and see if that fixes the problem. If not, I'll be posting her again soon.

          unchecking the "record live data as historical" checkbox seems to have fixed the problem.
