UpTicks/DownTicks for Historical Bars

NT Team - One of the limitations of NT7 used to be lack of built-in way to calculate the UpTicks/DownTicks/UpVolume/DownVolume directly for historical bars without replaying.

I believe you have this data available now with NT8. Is there any example indicator available to display this information at present?

With NT8 - I tried to use built in buySellVolume indicator and it didn't display the required data for historical bars.

Would you please help me in the right direction to get this data displayed for historical bars if there is an easier way.

You need to enable the "Tick Replay" option in order for these indicators to work historically on bid/ask data.

To set this option up, please go to Tools-> Options-> Market Data category and then check "Show Tick Replay".

Once that global option is enabled, from the chart you wish to use the BuySellVolume indicator, please make sure to check "Tick Replay" when configuring the Data Series menu.

After that mode is enabled on your chart, all of the bid/ask events that went into building the historical bars will be generated, and should allow an indicator like the BuySellVolume or BuySellPressure to work historically.

Note: The data provider you're using must provide historical tick data for this mode to work.
