    NT8B4 MBTrading SSL/TLS logon failed

    Hello,

    After installing B4 - cannot connect to MBTrading:

    Error:
    MBT NT8: MB Trading Session Connect Error: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel. (Logon failed).

    Note - never had this type of error with Beta 3. Trying to reuse existing connection. Tried disabling/enabling config options in MBT Navigator for remote APIs - didn't help.

    Hello music_p13,

    Can you please check what MBTrading Desktop Pro version you have installed. Make sure you have version 2.2.0.72. If not, you can download it from the link below.
    http://mbtrading.com/mbtdesktoppro.aspx#downloads

    Once it is downloaded, please launch it while NinjaTrader is closed (!).

    Go to File-->Configure API and checkmark Enabled API. Click OK.

    Close MBTrading Desktop and launch NinjaTrader 8. Subsequently check if you can connect.

      I have tried few times re-installing both ninjatrader B4 and mbtrading MbtWebMbtDesktopPro_2.2.0.72_12.0.0.72_20150116_re lease

      I tried reinstalling both B3 and B4 and now getting same result.

      Now I feel like the only solution is to reimage PC.

      I did setup using remote api in mbtrading.

      Please let me know if there is some cleanup utility or step I could try before re-imaging my PC.

      BTW - it works fine with NT7 on another PC (but I had to uninstall NT8 from there since it had same issue with NT8 as this one after B3 to B4 upgrade.

        Can you please try the following. Right click on the MBT Desktop icon and select Properties. Select the Compatibility-tab and check 'Run this program as an Administrator'. Click OK.

        Start NinjaTrader 8 and check if you can connect to MBTrading.

            Excellent!

            Hope to have a fix or private patch soon. I did try earlier running MBT as administrator multiple times in order to make changes for allowing using APIs by NT8 (cal also right-click on shortcut and select run as administrator - using Windows 8).

                Got new Beta and the issue was fixed. The only thing I didn't quite like is that I got an administrator popup (User Account Control) when starting NT8 that was displaying my MBT username and password like /user, /pw...
                Maybe I need to re-install MBT...

                The other interesting issue:
                I submitted live order and then closed it on live account.
                Then I closed NT8
                Then I re-opened NT8 and reconnected to MBTrading - and when reconnecting I've heard message "Order filled" although there were no active orders. Verified screens and still didn't see any active orders...

                  Can you please send me your log and trace files. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Email Support. Enter your email address and put 'Att Jason, 1386607' in the subject field. Make sure 'Log and trace files' is checked and click Send.

                    I have this same problem with NT8 Beta 5.
                    Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel when connecting to MBT.
                    I also get an error when starting MBT Desktop Pro 2.2.0.72

                        Hi Jason,
                        I did follow the connection guide.
                        However, on my first attempt, I did not start MBT Desktop Pro as administrator and got those error messages when I okayed the Enable API checkbox. I then tried to connect with NT8 and got the SSL/TLS error message. Exited NT8, and restarted MBT Desktop Pro (this time as administrator) and okayed the Enable API checkbox. No error message this time and I could see it being initiated. Closed MBT Desktop Pro and started NT8. Cannot connect error message "Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel".

                            We are still investigating this issue on our end but so far we are not able to reproduce this behavior. Are you still getting the same error message "Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel" when trying to connect to MBTrading today?

                              Yes the problem still exists, I cannot connect NT8 b5 to MB trading.
