I have the exact same problem. I sent in the problem with trace files and log files and I am being told to install other programs to verify my credentials etc. etc.
Like the other poster I have it running on another computer with NT7 and it works just fine
Beta 5 has crapped things up. This is a problem I am not going to chase. How do I get back to Beta 4 ?

I believe the download has been disabled. It will not let me download. I had already tried that earlier and just tried it again when you posted the link. I clicked on 8.0.0.4 and it just refreshed the page.
It would be nice to continue working on my conversion to NT8 while with Beta4 while this bug is worked out.
