Just installed RC1 and am VERY happy to see that "save chart image" uses a default output filename such as "YYYY_MM_DD.png" - thank you very much!! Sometimes it's the small things that make life so much easier.

For NinjaScript there is currently no documentation on this topic, but we do have a sample that demonstrates saving a Chart image.

I presume that I can use GetScreenshot to capture an image of any NT window, not just charts?

For example, I create a number of windows in an Addon or Strategy that I also want to capture images of -- can GetScreenshot do this?

Can it capture an image of any window that is visible to my Addon or Strategy whether it be within or outside of NT? For example, I also have a standalone application that provides detailed market data that I would like to take a screenshot of. I can do this using Interop code in NT7. Can I use GetScreenshot in NT8 instead?

Hello,

This would be a method that is derived from NTWindow, so I would presume any window that is a NTWindow and not just a Window should have this method exposed.

You would likely need to test with your custom addon as I am unaware of any current sample that demonstrates this concept in an addon window specifically. In the case that this does not work in your addon we could look at that specifically to see what is happening.

For other windows that do not contain this method, you would likely need to use a similar approach as you currently are in NT7, this would also apply to any external window. Unfortunately this would be something I can't really comment on as this would require the use of native methods which would be something you would need to test from the script to ensure it works as expected.
