    Chrt Trader Pixel Width....

In NT8 Charttrader is 271 pixels wide...In NT7 Charttrader is 169 pixels wide...
    Why so much wider ??

You do not want to burn up screen space with something like this.

It looks to me like the NT8 version could easily be reduced to the old width.

In NT8, you could put the TIF and Order Qty windows side by side in a new row....that would make it easy to reduce overall width to the older NT7 width....

It may be possible to reduce even below 169 pixels....looks like some extra width in the order buttons...

    Thanks....

Suggestion to reduce Chart Trader width...

If you put the TIF & Order Quantity on a separate line you could reduce the Chart Trader width to 179 pixels in Beta 8 (...it is 271 pixels wide now)....you would need to reduce width of trade buttons to fit but that looks easily doable...screen shot below...

NT 7 is 169 pixels wide....so the width could be easily similar or equal to in NT 8....

        ...............

          New Narrow ChartTrader....

Hi....no tracking number on this idea so far...??

See screen shots below below for latest....looks like it would pretty easy to reduce chart trader to the NT7 width....

I am curious about Ninjas design process....seems that a few minutes of sketching around would have shown the options for a new narrow chart trader before one gets into the actual programming...??

The tracking ID is SFT-509. I will forward your suggestions to the Development team, though you can minimize the Chart Trader toolbar as well when activating from the chart toolbar, select "Chart Trader (Hidden)."

                Yes...thanks...
But you may want ChartTrader left open for a spell...and the current version is a lot fatter than the old NT7 version and is much fatter than it needs to be....the suggested version I sketched out below is about the same width as the 7 version....this thinner version is much more desirable...

It doesn't need to be double the size. It can be thinner without being hidden.

If this is a SKIN change - then please recommend that as an option.

                    Idea...

                    Here is another thought...
...add a small window to ChartTrader where one could increase, decrease or cancel orders ......perhaps something like the screen shot below...

                      +1 for me

Please count my vote for a smaller charttrader area.
I want charttrader open to switch/see current Strategy chosen, but I don't like to give up so much more screen estate just because of a new NT version.
Please make it either resizable like many other windows or limit the width to the value of NT 7 at max.

What happened to the little box (in 7) in the upper right hand corner of your chart that one could easily click on to show or hide Chartrader...?? Seems like that was a much better solution than now (in 8) always going to a drop down list and then fuss around in order to show or hide Chartrader...

Did you have a lot of votes or requests on this in order to make this change...??

                            Alfred,

The Hidden option in the drop-down menu for Chart Trader is what replaced the minimize button.

There are currently 12 votes for this feature.

The Max Min button for Chart Trader as in NT7 is a much better solution....you do not need to mess with a drop down list...

Hard to believe users prefer the drop down list method...what is your personal preference...??

Are the 12 votes also for a Chart Trader the same pixel width as in NT 7...??
