If you can't make it update like live data, please make it update at least at .1 seconds intervals instead of 1 second updates it would be far more valuable, or give us the option of changing the setting.

Market replay update DOM / chart period.
Market replay is only showing 1 second updates to the DOM and chart during market replay. I was told that in NT8 both the DOM and chart would actually update as quickly as live data updates to get a true picture of how the market traded at that time. Is this still the case?
If you can't make it update like live data, please make it update at least at .1 seconds intervals instead of 1 second updates it would be far more valuable, or give us the option of changing the setting.Tags: None

Hello habibalex,
Thank you for writing in. Are you playing back live data you recorded yourself (Tools -> Options -> Market data -> Enable market recording for playback), or are you downloading market replay data from the NinjaTrader servers and playing it back?
Thank you in advance.Michael M.NinjaTrader Quality Assurance

Hello habibalex,
Thank you for your patience.
Charts update based on a hard-coded refresh rate. As a result, when you watch a 1-tick chart updating, you can sometimes see one tick at a time being painted, while at other times you see multiple ticks being painted on the chart at once. The important item to note is that NS objects do not have this limitation. A user's strategy, for example, is seeing every single tick come in, in order, even though the chart to which it may be attached appears to be updating in bunches.
The bid/ask you see in the Chart Trader is also sync'd to this refresh rate, but the data that your strategy or indicator would access is intrasecond.
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.Michael M.NinjaTrader Quality Assurance
