    Hello jitterbug,

Can you please tell me to what data feed provider you connected when you experience this behavior. Likely historical bid data is not supported by the data feed provider.

Jason this is MB trading. Bid data worked in NT7.

MBTrading does not support historical bid data in NinjaTrader 7. Please see the link below under 'Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider' which will list all supported data feed providers and what data they support.

I suspect you collected bid data in realtime by enabling 'Save chart data as historical' at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab in NinjaTrader 7.

I am not aware of any changes in this regard in NinjaTrader 8. If you create a brand new chart with 'Price based on' set to Bid, do you load historical data?

Jason this is what I get to answer your question,
a single opening bar on bid data,

I see, it has "record live data as historical" , I had ticked that, to collect data, then unticked it because a message warned me that my data provider already provided historical data and this may result in "data gaps"

MBTrading does provide historical minute and tick data based on Last price. Please note that the Last price is the same as the Bid price with forex in NinjaTrader. If you create an Order Ticket window and select a forex instrument, you will see Bid price is the same as Last price.
