Basically you ideally want to be able to plot or drag the right side of the Regression Channel into the future from an existing chart point ...to a known target in time....the target might be a length of swing...or the right side of the Trend Channel parallel line tool...or perhaps a particular time harmonic of some sort...or to the expected end of a chart pattern....etc.
This could be very valuable. If you set up a regression channel on an initial swing, then move it forward to look at the length of a new swing, you will often see the channel call the length of swing quite accurately in both price and time.
The way the regression channel is set up now is worthless....what good does it do to just look at past events ??....you need to be able to drag the channel right side to a known future target and then watch how things play out as the target is approached.
The screen shot example below shows that often the regression channel will call the end of the parallel line in the trend channel tool quite accurately in both time & price.
