have changeable font size on indicator test

When using NT8 charts on a 4k monitor the fonts on various indicators (Fibs, Pitchfork, etc) are too small.

I can change the price and time scale with the font adjustment under properties but as far as I can tell there is no way to change font size on indicators, is this correct?

If so, are you planning to add this functionality? right now the text on indicators is basically unreadable on a 4 K monitor.

NT7 does not have this issue,

    Hello James108,

    Thank you for your post!

I don't see any settings to change the font size on the drawing objects that you have in your screenshot (the fibs, pitchfork, etc). Since the type of functionality you are seeking is not presently supported within NinjaTrader 8, I have documented this particular feature request and have sent it to our product development team.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with the feedback to aid with improving NinjaTrader!

      Thanks

It is especially important given the change from pixels to points (or the other way around can't recall) in NT8 vs NT7. the way NT8 creates text looks quite diffenrt on the screen

James....have you tried (in Windows 10 ??) to go to Settings -> System -> Display
and change size of text etc. on the slider there....screen shot below...this worked for me on one monitor where text looked too small at 100%...when moved to 125% solved the problem...

          ...........

James and Alfred, thanks for your posts!

As for what Alfred wrote, I would advise the same by increasing the size of the Display.

You can do this by taking the steps below:

*Right-click on desktop -> Select Display Settings.
*Select the monitor you would like to adjust the size
*Under Change the size of text, apps, and other items, change to a higher percentage. Continue to test until you are able to see NinjaTrader 8.

              PPI Calculators

Here are two PPI calculators....(PPI is Pixels Per Inch)

              On a 1920 x 1080 24" monitor the PPI is 91.79
This PPI scale shows readable text....this seems OK to me...

              A 1920 x 1080 27" monitor the PPI is 81.59...

You can play with screen resolution and diagonal size
on these calculators to get an idea on how readable text will appear.

For myself it looks like PPI should fall roughly between
91 PPI and 96 PPI for text to appear readable....not too small and not too large....

              Several screen shots below....

              Thanks....

                Screen Text Examples in Ninja

I selected a 24" 1920 x 1080 Dell monitor for an initial screen shot (at 100%),,,,fonts look good at this screen resolution in Ninja so wanted to find out how fonts will appear on 3 other monitors am interested in....then I compared the pixel pitch of these 3 other monitors to the pixel pitch on the initial 24" monitor.

In SnagIt you can adjust screen captures on a percentage or tick basis ....then reduced the three other adjusted scale screen shots to show how fonts and chart scale would then look on the other monitors of interest compared to the initial screen shot...

                The 3 other monitors were...

                25" 2560x1440 Dell
                27" 2560x1440 Dell
                29" 2560x1080 Dell

You can click through the screen shots below to see the results.

Fonts appear quite readable on all 3 examples...though perhaps a touch small on the 25" Dell. Of course fonts may be smaller on 4K monitors at 100% scale if your screen may not be large enough..

This seems perhaps an easy way to check out how things will appear in Ninja on monitors one may be interested in...

                Thanks...

                  Question on viewing attached thumbnils...

Is viewing attached thumbnails working OK...??

In the post just below, with 4 thumbnails, I have to play around with things to get the 4 thumbnails to play in order....often the little circle waiting thing shows....especially on the first click.

I seem to dimly remember when, years ago, in 6.5 or maybe 7 ....when this process seemed to worked more smoothly.

                  thanks......

When testing this on my end it appears to working as expected when selecting the thumbnail.

                        Christopher...

                        Found a solution...

In IE, go to: Tools....Internet Options

                        Then go to...

                        Internet
                        Custom Level
                        Miscellaneous
                        Display mixed content
                        Enable mixed content

Now thumbnails open correctly & in sequence without a hitch...!!
                        Thanks much !!......
