displayed series in the data box without plot

    Hi
I have a series in my indicator which i do not want to plot.
However i want it to be displayed in the data box
Using plot with transparent brush achieve this effect but i guess it "plot" the unseen information which not needed.
so how it can be done

    Hello doron,

Thank you for writing in. Setting the brush to transparent is the correct way to achieve this. I am not aware of any other way to have a data series appear in the data box. The specific variable in your indicator is called "ShowTransparentPlotsInDataBox". You can set this in State.SetDefaults or State.Configure to be either true or false, depending on whether you want the plot to display in the databox or not.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

In order to see one variable per bar in the data box i used the technique described above and the performance of the chart ( scroll left or scroll right ) become terrible

ShowTransparentPlotsInDataBox was just implemented for Beta 7, so you will not be able to use it on the Beta 6 build. The Beta 7 build should be available to the public soon, and you should then be able to use it to accomplish your goal.

You can find information on using the data box and other features of NinjaTrader in our online help guide. Below is a link to the Data Box page, which also covers the Mini Data Box.
