Issues with "Save Chart as image"

"Save chart as image" is back, ok. Even Hotkey-assignable, so more ok.

    But:
    a) chart is saved by default as "Chart.png". Where is the former instrument and date specific default file naming?

    b) Global Crosshair is saved WITH the screenshot, please have that removed

    c) screenshot is framed with some really ugly "Tab: xyz xyz" text at the bottom and an overlapping Ninja-logo, together as ugly as it gets (you know there's already a Ninjatrader-watermark in the picture, not enough?)

I did uninstal version beta-8 immediately again after seeing this screenshot again, waiting for the next approach

totally agree, the new saved image of the chart looks ugly.

      Hello,

Thank you for your feedback on this. I will submit this to our product development team to see about making changes for the name, cross hairs (being removed during screenshot), and either to have the NinjaTrader logo being smaller or removed (because there's two instance of 'NinjaTrader' being shown). Did you have any suggestions on how the tab name should be listed?

As for why the name of an image has changed, I'm not aware, but I'll be sure to include this in the feature request.

i would prefer the tab not being printed out. The info on the tab could be printed out in the header similar to ver7. If possible, going back to ver 7 image save format will be good.

File naming as like as in NT7 was fine, for example "ES 03-16 (5 Min) 13_01_2016.jpg" (while I would even more like a naming such as "ES 03-16 (5 Min) 2016_01_13.jpg" as this would provide a correct sort order within a folder full of screenshots).

Should provide useful if you want to point out a price level with ease.

Use Cntrl-R to turn off GCH.

When save chart to image, can NJ8 provide some methods to define default save folder and default filename format with support of @INSTRUMENT,@PERIOD, and date-time related info(strftime format)?

Hello traderzbs, thank you for your post!

Currently this is not possible to do within NinjaTrader 8.

I will add a vote to the feature request to add the chart instrument, chart period, and date to the name when saving a chart image.

I will also submit another feature to have the option to select a default location when saving a chart image.
