    Data not loading correctly

    I've encountered a strange problem with loading Friday's data - It will only load till midnight on the 24hr charts on NT8 - NT7 works fine.
    I'm using Interactive Brokers data.
    As an example, I load up a chart of the YM using the CME US Index Futures ETH time template.
    Data will only load till midnight.
    If I change the template to Default 24x7, the data is loaded correctly.
    If I use the CME US Index Futures RTH template, the data is also loaded correctly.

    I have also tried this with the Australian SPI futures contract and data stops at midnight when using an SNFE 24hr template.
    If I use the Default 24x7, the data loads correctly.

    I don't seem to have this problem during the week - Only at the end of the week.

    I've tried reloading data but there is no change.
    These issues do not occur with NT7 !!

    I'm also finding that Interactive Brokers data loads very slowly in NT8 compared with NT7.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What is the time stamp of the chart precisely? You can check by opening the data box and hovering over the bar you wish to view.

    The end of the US Index Futures ETH session is 4PM Central time on Fridays. Here is a screenshot:

    I would expect a chart with the US Index Futures ETH trading hours template loaded to have the last bar on Friday at 4PM Central time and then the next bar would print on Sunday at 5PM Central time.

    What time zone are you in? Can you include a screenshot of your data box info?

      Hello PatrickG,

      The data only fills till the first bar after midnight on Friday's session using the CME US Index Futures ETH template. (Screen capture with Data Box)
      The problem only occurs when I try to load data over the weekend using the above time template.
      Once the first bar opens on Monday morning - 9:03am local time (Sunday at 5PM Central time), the problem is resolved.
      I've included a screen capture "Data problem corrected - NT8", that I did when the market opened, and data was filled for the rest of Friday's session.

      The problem doesn't occur during the week.

      This issue does not occur if I use a Default 24x7 template !!

      I get the same problem with the local Australian SPI futures contract.

      Please note that these problems don't occur in NT7.

      I also find that Interactive Brokers data takes a lot longer to load in NT8, compared with NT7.
      I really had expected that data would load much quicker in NT8.
      It is nearly impossible to load several charts of various contracts like I can do in NT7.
      Any reason why that would be ?

        Please use the steps below to change/check your Time Zone and sync the PC clock:
        • Close NinjaTrader.
        • Click on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop.
        • Press 'Change time zone...'.
        • Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.
        • Click on Internet Time tab.
        • Set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update.


        Your PC clock should now be updated. Please test for the issue.

          I've gone through the steps as you have suggested and it has made no difference - Data only loads only till midnight (local time) for the last day of the week when accessing charts over the weekend.

            Hello PatrickG,

            Here is a follow-up on the data issue I'm experiencing with NT8.
            This morning the first bar opened - 9:03am Monday local time (Sunday at 5PM Central time), but this time the data remained at midnight (local time) and opened with the first bar of the week.

            I had to refresh the chart to fill in the missing data.
            This issue only occurs on Friday's session and is not present in NT7.

              A new version of the beta has just been released (8.0.0.9). Before any further troubleshooting, can you please upgrade to the newest version? here is a link with more information:

                Hello PatrickG,

                The latest release (8.0.0..9) has made no difference to the data loading problem.

                Also data is still very slow in loading data from Interactive Brokers - NT7 is so much more efficient in loading I.B. data !!
