NT8 questions

Thinking of working with NT8 to take advantage of smoother replay feature.
Probably already answered elsewhere but:
Is NT8 completely separated from NT7. In other words if I download the beta, is there any file sharing with NT7 where I may risk messing up my NT7 platform?

Assuming that it is completely separate, presumably I would need to reload historical data, replay data etc in the NT8 file format?.
Also have all the standard indicators that come in the as download NT7 platform been converted to NT8.?
Does anyone know if Jigsaw has been converted?
I also use gomi's MP for day bar volume profile, composite vol profile (and wish it could do micro composites easier), has anyone seen a vol Profile for 8.

Nt8 converts your data from nt7 into new format. The directory structure is easier too.

And it's Completely separate from nt7.

You're on your own for converting custom indicators and strategies. Contact your vendor.

As Sledge mentioned, there is a new format for NinjaTrader 8. No information is shared between applications. They are completely separate programs. Here is a link about what is migrated to NinjaTrader 8:

The system (built-in) indicators from NinjaTrader 7 are available in NinjaTrader 8. Some have been modified or improved but the majority remain.

For your custom add-on questions I would recommend contacting the vendor.

Thank you for the replies.
On the ninja 8 Dom, can columns be added to see the actual contract accumulate as they hit the bid and the ask at a given level. The volume profile in the dom could work for it, assuming it could be reset automatically when price moves to a new value. Essentially I am use to using jigsaw dom and wondering if I will still need it as it looks like ninja 8 dom has everything else I need.

This is possible, however it is not provided by default. Custom programming would be required.
