Name "indicator" does not exist in the current context

I try to open standard indicator and press compile button. After that editor gives me same errors for all indicators.
@ADL.cs,The name "indicator" does not exist in the current context,CS0103
@ADL.cs,The name "indicator" does not exist in the current context,CS0103
@ADX.cs,The name "indicator" does not exist in the current context,CS0103
    ...
    and so on.

    How to solve it?

And second question: when I compile only one indicator the editor compiles all indicators that I have?

    Hello,

    Thank you for the questions.

First I wanted to address your second question as it relates to your first.

When you compile all scripts are compiled together for performance, this is normal and expected. so if one script has an error, you will not be able to compile until all scripts are valid.

Regarding the errors you are getting, it seems that the platform can not find the files listed. Can you check that they exist on the file system by opening the folder: Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Indicators

Look specifically for the files listed in the error with an @ at the begging or @ADL

If they do not exist, likely you could exit the platform and do a re install and select Repair during the re install to place these files back.

Can you check this and let me know if they exist or not before we continue?

I look forward to being of further assistance.

        Thank you for confirming that.

Can you please check the references next to verify all the correct references are in place?

In the NinjaScript editor please right click and click References. Expand the window so all lines are visible and then please provide a screenshot of that.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

            Hello,

            Thank you for the image.

I believe there is a confusion with your current installation paths.

I see from the images you have NinjaTrader platform installed to: F:\Program Files (x86)
The first image with the indicators that you showed are listing as : C:\Documents and Settings\username\documents\NinjaTrader
The References are pointing at C:\Users\Username\Documents\NinjaTrader instead.

Based on the images there is a problem in the installation because of the paths being used.

There are two options, because I do not know how your computer is configured the easiest option would be to uninstall the platform and Re install using the default documents path it lists in the installer. This should correct any references to the correct paths.

The second option would be to contact our platform support @ ninjatrader.com and schedule a remote assistance session to have the platform reinstalled or corrected.

If you choose to do a reinstall, you could do that by exiting the platform, locate the NinjaTrader folder in your Documents folder and rename it to NinjaTrader Old.
Next re install the platform using the installer downloaded from Ninjatrader.com.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

              Hello,

As you know the "Documents and Settings" is only a link in Windows.
I attached the screenshot where I opened Indicator path using "Users" folder.

              I suppose it's something else.

Did you move it? If so - how?

I've had no issue with moving "My Documents" to another drive in NT8.

I didn't move it. See the screenshot. "Documents and Settings" is just a symlink reference to Users.

It's never worked like that? You'll get compile errors.

You have to move the whole thing. Koganam has a post here about how to do it.

I can't find the exact post - but this is a start:

(It looks like this is a new feature in NT8... if that is failing - please explain)

it was a pointing error. I deleted @strategy.cs because of other errors. And that's why I had errors with standard indicators.
                          A couple of reinstallations helped.

                          Thank you for your assistance.
