I have a strategy with many inputs. The inputs are sequenced using the Order= attribute in the input parameters in the Properties region as described in this post: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ead.php?t=4770.
When I load the strategy on my chart everything looks fine and the inputs are all in the correct order. However, when I open the Strategy Analyzer and select the same strategy the inputs order is scrambled. After I open it in the Strategy Analyzer then when I look at the strategy on my chart the order is similarly scrambled on the chart.
You can replicate the issue using the SamplePriceModification strategy: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ead.php?t=3222
- Install the SamplePriceModification .
- Close the strategy analyzer.
- Close and reopen NT8. Do not open the strategy analyzer.
- Connect, open a new chart and add the SamplePriceModification strategy.
- Note the order of the inputs. Should have StopLossTicks first, then ProfitTargetTicks.
- Now open the strategy analyzer and select SamplePriceModification. The order of the inputs will be reversed.
- Now go back to the chart and look at the strategy settings. The inputs should now also be reversed.
I had one of my users try this and he had the same result.
With two inputs this is not a big deal, but when you have ten, twenty or more inputs it becomes confusing for the users.
Unless I'm missing something I believe this is a bug.
Thanks and regards,
Will.
