Thanks so much Zach for all of your help and for being so patient with me. Just one last thing on this top: I've watched all of the Alert videos and read the Alerts sections of the Help guide, and I still don't have a real understanding of what "offset" means. Anything that you could tell me to clarify this term in the context of the Alerts would be helpful.

Hello sgordet,
I'm glad to be of assistance!
The offset value is going to offset the value of an object by the value and offset type you have specified.
For example, say the object you are using is an EMA indicator. The indicator's current value is 20. You have the offset type set to ticks, and you've entered 4 for your offset value. Additionally, say we're on the ES.
The ES' tick size is 0.25. So, 0.25 * 4 = 1.
So, in this case, we're comparing to the indicator value of 21 (because 20 + (0.25 * 4) = 21).
Another example can be found on the Condition Builder page of the help guide within the "How to offset an item value" section: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...on_builder.htmZachary G.NinjaTrader Customer Service
