    Dispose V.S. GC

    Hi
    I have NT8 indicator which plots on chart using SharpDX methods.
    At his moment I do call dispose method at all. I expect the GC ( garbage collection) to take care of it.
    Is this a mistake? What is the effect of letting the software to activate automatically the GC?

    Hello doron,

    There are no means to call the Garbage Collector of .NET. Dispose just gets rid of resources when you call it.

      if i do not call dispose explicitly i expect C# to handle it implicitly (may be after a while), am i wrong ?

        I call this in a DLL - not sure you can do this from within the script though.

        System.GC.Collect()

          i did not say i activate the GC , i just mentioned that it is activated automatically by the system.
