Is it possible to programmatically navigate chart?

Hi there,

Is it possible to programmatically navigate a chart from an Add-On?

For example, I want to to be able to jump to the location of a drawn object, or it could just be a timestamp as I will have a list of the timestamps where the objects are drawn.

Hello codeowl,

While it is possible to set the charts y-axis (price scale) range and scale programmatically, it is not possible to set the x-axis (time scale) programmatically.

It is not possible to change the x-axis (time scale) range or scale programmatically.
I have submitted a feature request on your behalf for this. Once I have a tracking ID for this request I will post this in this thread.

Our development has provided a tracking ID for your feature request. Your request to allow x-axis spacing, range, and scale to be controlled via NS is being tracked with ID# SFT-1171. It is up to our development to decided if and when any request will be implemented.

Thanks for following this up mate. If I want to check on the status of this feature request, is there a tracking system where I can view this, and possibly subscribe to receive notifications when the ticket is updated?

There is not public access to our tracking system and we are not able to send out updates about the status of requests.

This tracking ID is so that if you would like to check on the status of this in the future you can do so using this ID without submitting another feature request.

Thats exactly right. You can post a forum post asking about a feature request (or search for an existing thread that already mentions that request ID and ask in that thread about the status). You can also send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com.

The best time to ask about a particular ID would be after a new version is released (such as when NinjaTrader 8 Beta 11 is released) and you are not able to confirm the change in the new version. If you ask our staff we can let you know if it was included with that release or not implemented at this time.
