Can you program custom order entry hot keys in C#?

    As the title says

Can you program in C# custom order entry hot keys?
And can you give each programmed hot key its own ATM strategy
    or custom ATM strategy?

    thank you for NT8

    Hello,

    Thank you for the question.

There would currently be no way to program Hotkeys that are associated with the Hotkey manager in the platform, but using C# you could attach to a keyboard event handler to see key presses from a script. I would not have a sample of this specifically but it is possible to create your own key handling in a script.

After implementing a system for handling keys, you could use any of the standard NinjaScript methods in the script to submit orders or do other actions if you wanted. You may need to use TriggerCustomEvent to get correct Price values while used in event handlers as well.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

        Hello,

A modal would be when you open a window that can not be pushed to the background.

This would include Error message boxes, the Connections -> Configure menu and many more.

These windows are intended to steal focus to ensure you complete any actions in the window prior to trading. An example would be: the connections menu is intended to stay focused so you can add, edit or remove connections, this window will not be able to be pushed to the background until you click OK to confirm you are done editing.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
