NT8 multiple dataseries on one chart

In NT7, multi dataseries on one tick chart resulted in bars not being equidistant from each other as tick volume changed. Is this still the case in NT8 or has this been fixed?

Also, what do I need to do to convert my custom NT7 indicators to work in NT8?

    Thank you.

    Hello imalil,

Could you please elaborate of your inquiry?

What steps did you take before noticing this behavior on your charts?

Could you also include any screen shots that may clarify your previous steps.

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

To convert your indicators from NinjaTrader 7 to NinjaTrader 8 you will want to review the Code Breaking Changes in our Help Guide.

This is what I'm talking about:

And will my workspaces remain intact after switching to NT8?

          Hello imalil,

This is still the case in NT8.

The bars must be plotted as they actually occurred in real-time as opposed to being spaced as you would see in a single series chart.

Okay. Then could you please read the attachment and tell me what it means?

            Thank you.

              Imalil,
I can verify that they have equidistant bar spacing in NT8. I use it. Get them to give you a demo version if you don't have it and try it for yourself.

I will do that. Can you confirm that multiple dataseries on tick charts result in equidistant bar spacing?

And did your workspaces transfer smoothly from NT7 to NT8?

                Thank you.

I use 3 Tick data series and bar spacing works just fine.
My workspaces did not transfer smoothly.

Could a NT customer service rep give me the company response/confirmation before I download?

                    Thank you.

                      Hello imalil,

The Equidistant bar spacing option only enables or disables plotting bars an equal distance from each other.

Equidistant bar spacing does not guarantee that scaling won't be adjusted when adding another data series. Chart Properties
