Show Historical Strategy Trades on Chart (not Executed)

Hi,

Is it possible to load a strategy to a chart and have it display the trades the strategy would have taken (although didn't as it wasn't running at the time). This is when using a normal chart, not through the strategy analyser.

Read the help guide but can't find any instructions on how to do so.

Thank you for writing in.

As long as you do not have any conditions within your strategy that prevents it from running on historical data, you will see historical trades on the chart once you have added the strategy to a chart.

Additionally, you'll need to make sure that you have enabled the strategy on the chart and that you have enabled plot executions in the Data Series window of your chart. This can be accessed by right-clicking the chart and selecting Data Series.

Thanks Zachary, still had problems with it but reset the Ninjatrader db and that seemed to sort it.
