    Hello,

    I just wanted to follow up on this topic.

    The Base series such as Close are all by default Infinite and always will be, so calling either IsValidDataPoint or IsValidDataPointAt should not report an error when called even if you set a indicator to MaximumBarsLookBack256 in an indicator.

    This message would apply to any custom series you define though or indicators, so you could get the error if you set the property and define a custom Series<double> as an example.

    This item has been added to be reviewed for expanded documentation.

    I look forward to being of further assistance.

    started a topic IsValidDataPoint()

    IsValidDataPoint()

    Using NT 8.0.0.11
    I was concerned to see that current documentation says
    Warning: Calling IsValidDataPoint() will only work a MaximumBarsLookBackInfinite series. Attempting to check IsValidDataPoint() MaximumBarsLookBack256 series throw an error. Please check the Log tab of the Control Center
    I tried it out on a MaximumBarsLookBack256 series an found it works OK (no exception or entry in Log tab).
    I assume the quoted warning is just documenting a bug present in an earlier beta version, that has subsequently been fixed.
    Can this warning about MaximumBarsLookBack256 be removed please since users need something to check for nulls in default 256 series also.

    p.s. same applies to IsValidDataPointAt()
