Where is the section in the NT8 wizard that allows you to pick indicators and enter entry and stop logic like in NT7? It seems to have everything else.

Thanks for your post.

In keeping with the NT8 design, when you get to the conditions window, to add a condition you would click on the word "add" below the condition section of the window. To add an action you would click on the "add" below the actions window. Please see the attached picture that shows the condition "add" and the condition builder window that appears.

That's pretty wild. Can you make the window wider? (I can, but I can't make mine smaller to see if things disappear).

I have this version: 8.0.0.11 64-bit (Multi-Broker) - BETA

For real I don't see the condition builder, I've checked every possible option.

Yeah - I see it's missing on your image and a bunch of other buttons.

I'm using the @SIM key here... maybe it is because you are using a LIVE KEY? This is BETA... stranger things have happened!

The screen shot appears to be a picture of the strategy wizard. The equivalent of the NT7 strategy wizard has been renamed in NT8 as the strategy builder. To run the strategy builder, in the NT8 control center, please access via New>Strategy Builder. It will be the last selection in the context menu.

NT_Paul - I found the issue brucelevy is having.

Go to the Ninjascript editor.

On Strategies, right click "New Strategy".

It looks like he mentions. It looks like the Indicator builder masquerading as the Strategy Builder.

Please mark this up as a bug and get it to development.

Thanks for your post.

In NinjaTrader 8 we have provided "Wizards" to assist with creating many Ninjascript items such as Add-ons, BarsTypes, ChartStyles, etc, etc in addition to indicators and strategies. The wizards provide a consistent way to create the correct Ninjascript framework for the needed Ninjascript for the specific wizard chosen. The wizards for all Ninjascript is accessed through New>Ninjascript Editor. Once you have used the wizard to create the framework, you can then directly code in Ninjascript.

The wizards have been available since NT8 was made into an open beta, the strategy builder however is new in beta 11.

We have changed the name of the NT7 strategy wizard to be the NT8 Strategy Builder and provided a different path to access it. New>Strategy Builder. So in NT8, the strategy wizard is strictly to create the Ninjascript framework for coding a strategy whereas the strategy builder will create a strategy without the need to directly code.

If I have misunderstood what you are considering a bug, please clarify.

Note, when comparing the opening screens of the builder to the wizard there is a lot of similarity (consistency of design) however I noted that the strategy builder does say "wizard" and I will write this up to have that changed to builder. Please see attached.
