    Exception when taking trade

    Hi,

    I get this Unhanded exception: "There is already a market data handler subscribed" every time my order is filled on a trade for the first time in a new instrument.

    So far, I'm trading on SIM, but I wouldn't want to go live until this issue is solved.

    Please help me to troubleshoot.

    Thank you for your post.
    Please send us your log and trace files so I may investigate this further.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

    Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 1530221

      Hi Cody,

      Have sent in my trace files. Just to add on, this error specifically occurs on the first trade I take on each new instrument. After that, I no longer get the error.

          Hello,
          I have been reviewing the log and trace files to get more information on what is occurring.

          Can you clarify if this occurs if you are entering trades manually or if you are trading a strategy?

              Hello,
              From the log and trace files I see this error when you get your first position on either the FGBL or FESX for the day. I do not see this message occurring with your other instruments? Can you confirm this is what you are seeing on your end as well?

                Hi Cody,

                I only trade these 2 instruments. Have not tried it on other instruments yet.

                  Hello,
                  I see that the orders you are submitting are go ing to an account 'SimEurex.' If this is a Simulated account can I have you try to place an order to a different instrument such as the ES and report if you receive this message on the trade there?

                    Yes, I just placed a trade and had the same error on the ES.

                      Hi KelvinKing,

                      First, are you able to reproduce the error when placing orders to the Sim101 account?

                      I this may be a database issue.

                      I would like you to try creating a new database by renaming the current one.

                      To rename the database:
                      • Shutdown NinjaTrader
                      • Open the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db folder
                      • Right click on NinjaTrader.sdf and select Rename
                      • Rename the file 'OLDNinjaTrader.sdf'
                      • Finally, restart NinjaTrader


                      After this check for the behavior once more.

                        HI Chelsea,

                        I renamed the database and tried it with the SIM101 account, did not get the error. But I get the exception again when I created a new sim account with a different currency base than the US$. Apparently, the currency needs to be the same as the currency of the SIM101 account, otherwise the same exception will be thrown.

                        Please try on your side and see if you are able to reproduce the error.

                        Create a new sim account with the Euro currency base. Try and place a trade.

                          Hello KelvinKing,

                          Thank you for informing us that the error occurs when using a Sim account using the Euro currency.

                          I was able to reproduce the behavior when the currency is changed and I have submitted a bug report to our development regarding this. Once I have I have tracking ID for this item I will post this in this thread for future reference.

                          Please let me know of any other items you come across that you feel have incorrect behavior.

                              Hi KelvinKing,

                              This item "Exception on placing order to non-USD sim account that was created after connecting to provider" is being tracked with ID# NTEIGHT-10051.

                              Please let me know if you find any other behavior you feel is incorrect.
