Search with F3 with the search window closed

Hi,
Can you please make life easy and comfortable with the option to search with F3 even if the search window is closed like it was in NT7?

Because the search window is always on top it takes a part of the screen so it is more annoying.

Thank you for your post,

To confirm, after closing the Find and Replace window then pressing F3, are you seeing the Find and Replace window pop up every time F3 is pressed?

On my end in both 7 and 8, when F3 is pressed no new window is opened, rather the next instance of the searched item is found.

As a side note, NinjaTrader 8 does allow for the use of alternative editors. See the below section of our help guide for more on the editor window.

My intention is to keep the last search word after we close the search window in order to use it with F3. When I exit the window it doesn't allow the usage of F3

It should be functioning as you describe. I suggest first making sure you're using the current version of the beta, 8.0.0.11. You can check the version via Help > About and update if needed from the link below.

I checked the hot key list and it's listed there as Find Next, but it just doesn't work.

Seems to be fixed in B12 today.
