Multiple Chart Tabs Issue

Hello,

I monitor 3 currencies. I have a 70 tick chart, Renko 2 (now 20) & Renko 4 (now 40) for each currency so I have a total of 9 tabs.

If I switch from Sim 101 to my live account in 1 tab then all tabs, not just the one currency, change to live. If I switch my ATM strategy in one tab then all tabs switch (not just the currency I changed it in).

The currencies are EURUSD, GBPUSD and NZDUSD. I would have thought that if I had them all in Sim101 and then wanted to just make the EURUSD live that the GBPUSD and NZDUSD would stay on the SIM101 account.. The same also hold true for the ATM strategy.

If I make changes in the Data Series it works correctly by only changing the chart I was making the change and not global.

How is this intended to work?

Hello Segwin,

I am able to confirm the Account Selector is the same for all tabs in a chart.

I am inquiring if this is expected behavior. If so, I will submit a feature request on your behalf to allow this to be unique for each tab.
If not, I'll report this to development.

Once I have a tracking ID for the feature request or bug report I will post this in this thread.

Thank you for your patience.

I have found that the current design is that Chart Trader is independent of the Chart Tabs.

There is currently an open feature request to allow the Chart Trader to be set on a per tab basis and this being tracked with ID# SFT-304.

I have added your vote toward this implementation.

We appreciate your feedback.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. If I have 6 tab's open changing the Chart Trader on anyone of them will change all of them to the same.

There is one Chart Trader and all tabs use this same chart trader with the same settings.

No the status of SFT-304 has not changed as of July 15th 2016. It is up to the NinjaTrader Development to decide if and when any request will be implemented.

Also, keep in mind that Beta 12 was just released. Any upgrades or enhancements made currently would not be available until Beta 13 is released.

Add my vote to fixing this issue. There are many occasions where different accounts or ATMs are required for tabbed charts. One example is where you may be trading the same security in a number of different timeframes. It makes sense to have them all tabbed together but the stop and target orders would be quite different for each time frame. It is also quite possible to require different brokers for different markets hence one needs different accounts set up on each tab. It appears this issue has carried over to RC1
