Only 1 year of ES data?

Hi,
I have been trying to optimize my strat for ES, but found that I can only get data going back to 4/30/2015.

I do the same thing for CL and it goes back to 10/27/2013 (odd date, but there you have it!).

I am using ninjatrader continuum.

Any way to get more data without having to pay a ransom?

Update. I found data going back 2 1/2 years for ES on another machine.
So, I went back to my original machine and opened a es range 5 chart and went to the dataseries and redownloaded all historical data. When the chart came up, it only went back to May of last year. Back on my other machine, I went to a chart, reloaded all historical data and it goes back to 12/11/2013.
Can I copy the historical data from one machine to another safely? If so, what all do I need to copy?

Yes, it is possible to import historical data from one PC to the next, see the below section of our help guide for more on importing historical data for NinjaTrader 8.

Regarding the historical data, what ES contract are you using? E.g., ES 09-16.

Also, what is your Merge Policy set to? This is found at Tools > Options > Market Data > Global Merge Policy.

I'll check out the guide. I am using ES 09-16 and the merge policy is Merge Back Adjusted.

I tested requesting the historical data on my end from NinjaTrader Continuum and am seeing the same on my end, the historical tick data seems to go back about a year for both ES and CL.

For the CL data you're able to access back into 2013, was this also a tick-based chart or a Daily or minute chart?

Range 5. I get back to 10/27/2013 for CL and only about a year for ES.

Need data! :-) Must have data! :-) I will die without data!

Sorry to report, but I tested this again on my end and am only able to access historical data for ES and CL back into 4/2015.

To test, can you please shut down NinjaTrader 8 then navigate to the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db folder. Rename the cache, day, minute and tick folders to "cache.old" ect.
NinjaTrader will re-create the blank folders upon relaunch, this way you will be able to reverse the naming in order to access the data again.

Try launching again and request the historical data again with the range charts. Let me know what you see with these steps.

I really don't want to do that. I have 2 and half years of data. I don't want to lose it. I wish I had 5.
