NT8 B12 tick data time is incorrect for those downloaded in Historical Data

    Hi,

I connected to eSignal and downloaded tick data for Hang Seng Index. Then I examined the data in Edit tab and found that the time is shifted 1 minute from the correct time e.g. HSI [email protected] at 9:20:30am HKT, but the historical data time for that tick is 9:21:30am.

I downloaded the same data from eSignal to NT7 and the time is correct as shown below.

Could anyone explain to me why this happens?

    Best,
    Joseph

    Hello,

    Thank you for your note.

It is possible that your PC clock is off by 1 minute.

Please use the steps below to change/check your Time Zone and sync the PC clock:
    Close NinjaTrader.
    Open the Windows Control Panel
    Select Date and Time
    Press 'Change time zone...'.
Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.
    Click on Internet Time tab.
Set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update.
Ensure to check for a message under the Update button that says it was successful.
If it did not properly sync, even after a few tries, try manually setting your PC clock and then syncing.

Your PC clock should now be updated.

Please delete the historical data and then try downloading again.

    Did that resolve the issue?

      Hi Alan,

Unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem. IMO if the clock is off, then it should affect NT7 as well but clearly it's not.

      Best,
      Joseph

Besides, I wonder if NT8 interprets the tick data as end of minute bar data and thus adds 1 minute to the time.
