Log to log and trace files

In NT7, it appears that log() will always log to the log file but only to the trace file if the LogLevel is LogLevel.Error or LogLevel.Alert.

In NT8, it would be good to have a corresponding way to create user-defined entries specifically in the trace file. Ideally, an enhancement of the log() method would work with the following syntax: Log(string message, LogLevel logLevel, LogTarget logTarget)

LogTarget would have three possible values:
- LogTarget.Logfile
- LogTarget.Tracefile
- LogTarget.Bothfiles

All LogLevels could be written to either file.

I use the trace file, with all its detail, to log "errors" to help debug tricky issues. This interlacing of my user-generated messages and the NinjaTrader-generated messages provides very useful sequencing information to understand when events occurred in the broader context of the whole program.

This customer would like a custom Log Level added which would allow them to write only to the trace file, and not to the log file

Actually, the facility would be more flexible than what you have described. My original explanation was intended to convey that just as one can write all LogLevels (Warning, Information, Error and Alert) to the log file, so too one should be able to do the same specifically to the trace file, and where desired, to both files at once.
