    Problem with changing screen resolutions

    Hi,

when the screen resolution changes during work (other hardware monitor, or via Remote Desktop) then all windows keeps the maximum size of the smaller resolution during the start of NT8. If started on the high resolution, no problem to change to the smaller one and back to the higher.

Started on small resolution <-> high resolution = problem
Started on high resolution <-> small resolution = no problem

Not a problem for third party indicator windows (e.g. Jigsaw Trading).

Can you provide screenshots of what you're describing?

Also, can you tell me more about your resolution settings? Are you using 4k monitors?

      Attached is a screenshot.
The larger screen resolution is 3440x1440.
The smaller one is like the size of the Control Center in the picture (1366x768)

        Thanks for the screenshot.

I cannot reproduce this on my end. Here are the steps I take:
        • Change resolution on monitor 2 from 1920x1080 to 1366x768
        • Maximize NT8 Control Center
        • Change resolution back to 1920x1080

Momentarily, the Control Center remains the same size from the smaller resolution, but then maximizes to the new resolution.

I notice your largest resolution is 21:9 (ultra wide). I do not have access to an ultra wide monitor to test. If you have access to a non-ultra wide monitor, can you attempt to reproduce this behavior?

Also, can you confirm that your graphics drivers are up to date?

I could reproduce it on several systems with these steps:

          - first small resolution (e.g. 800x600)
          - start NT8B12 and maximize
          - change to larger resolution

Then you should see the problem. If I start NT8 on the larger resolution, I have also no problem in switching forth and back.

Using these exact steps, I cannot replicate. The same behavior I described before occurs.

Can you go into more detail about your monitor setup? Are you using one monitor or two monitors? Are your graphics drivers up to date?

Drivers are up to date and tested on one single monitor notebook and desktop with three monitors. Thought that your programmers saved the starting maximum width of the screen size and used it forever even if the screen size changes.

Not a big issue so far - at least I could start NT8 again ... closed, as it only happens on my side :-)

No no no, don't close it yet. They are definitely related.
                I'll try this test.

If you can reproduce this, please give as much detail as possible.

I ended up discovering another quirky behavior related to 2 monitors with different resolutions, but not exactly what BearingHH had experienced.
