Trial version of Agile.net won't let NT8 start

I took a trial of Agile.NET, exported some indicators, and now the trial has expired.

On the machine that I imported those indicators, it won't let NT8 even start. It gives an error,

"The secured image was created using a trial version of AgileDotNet and cannot run on this machine."

The only option is to click OK and NT8 will not start, so I can't remove the imported indicators.

This is a very frustrating way for this to operate!

The only way I've gotten it to be back up and running again is to delete the offending DLLs in the \NinjaTrader 8\bin\custom folder, then remove the references to these DLLs in the Ninjascipt editor.

Is there a better way to handle this situation?

    Hello neoikon,

Start NinjaTrader 8 by holding the Ctrl key while double clicking the NinjaTrader 8 icon on the Desktop or Start Menu to start NinjaTrader 8 in safe mode. Continue holding the Ctrl key until the Control Center shows.
Then remove the indicator by clicking Tools -> Remove NinjaScript Assembly...

If you have manually removed files from NinjaTrader this can cause compile errors that can prevent you from importing or exporting scripts.

If this is the case, I would recommend that you return the files and then restart NinjaTrader 8 and try removing using the supported method.

It seems when you boot into safemode in NT8 (by holding CTRL), the option under Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly is not there.

        Hi neoikon,

I wasn't aware of that, thank you for letting me know.

I think you will need to remove the references to those files manually and then compile.

In safe mode, click New -> NinjaScript Editor -> right-click the editor -> select References...

Select the reference to the indicator -> click the Remove button

Repeat for any other scripts that need to be removed

Click OK -> right-click the NinjaScript Editor -> select Compile
(You might need to open any script to right-click and compile)

If you would like me to assist, please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com. In the email please include a link to this forum thread.
