    OrderState(s) question

I would like to ask for more details about OrderState.TriggerPending

I tried to understand it from help , but the description is too short to provide more details. I don't understand, what is the "trigger" in context of order processing.

Could you provide more details please, when this order-state exactly occurs using some simple example?

Which one is alternative to old NT7 OrderState.PendingSubmit ? (Is it OrderState.Submitted?)

It would be great to provide us with simple mapping between old vs new OrderState(s), in case, when new order states / renamings are introduced. That would make things clear.

Hello misova, and thank you for your question.

Generally, orders with a Yellow color code on the chart available here, http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...efinitions.htm , are orders that exist in NinjaTrader and have not yet been sent off to the connectivity provider yet. TriggerPending happens after the other yellow state, Initialize, and before any orange state. Orders in orange states are orders that have been sent off to the connectivity provider. Orange states last until the connectivity provider sends Ninja feedback signals, letting Ninja know for instance that an order has been placed at the trade desk.

    Briefly,

    • Yellow : the order exists inside NinjaTrader
    • Orange : the order was sent off to the connectivity provider
    • Red or Green : the order was sent off to the trade desk, but has not yet been placed. This is usually because an order away from the currently traded price such as a limit order was placed. The color reflects the trade direction, green is long.
    • Clear : the order has been handled. For example, filled orders, canceled orders

Please let us know if there are any other ways we can help.

Thank you, seems clear to me.

      Just to confirm correct understanding...
      • Initialized = NinjaTrader confirms, this is meaningful order, that can be send to Broker
      • TriggerPending = Order is ready to be submitted to Broker (but not submitted yet)
      • Submitted = Order was submitted tu Broker (but no confirmed by Broker)
      • Accepted = Order was confirmed by Broker (but not sent to exchange yet)
      • Working = Order was confirmed to sit on exchange

Can you confirm, this is right ?

Is it right to say, that old NT7 OrderState.PendingSubmit is the same as NT8 OrderState.TriggerPending?

      Thank you

        Hello misova,

This is almost correct. TriggerPending does not have a direct equivalent in NT7. All the events during TriggerPending happened during Initialize in NT7. PendingSubmit in NT7 is equivalent to Submit in NT8.

I have prepared a short diagram which may help clear this up.
