BarTime, TickTimer is not "visible"on black baground

Hi there, there are no settings for the color of BarTime, TickTimer and not sure why can't see them on black background. White seems to be ok.

What am I missing?

Thank you for writing in.

By default, both the BarTimer and TickCounter will draw text that is slate gray. The text color would be determined within the code itself.

Are you using modified versions of these indicators?

I am using what comes with Ninja that is why I wonder what is going on...
It was working before B13, never had any issues yet now I have issues.

Can you please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing on your chart when you apply the indicator to a chart with a black background and white background?

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Additionally, can you please attach both the BarTimer and TickCounter indicators to your reply?

These can be found within the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Indicators folder on your computer. They are named @BarTimer and @TickCounter respectively.

I have tested this on my end and have seen that the text renders correctly on a chart with the default dark background.

For additional investigation, can you please clarify what skin you are currently using?

Please click on Tools -> Options. Select the General category.

What do you have chosen for the Skin property?

The bartimer indicator should be using the Chart > Right Click Properties > Axis Color.

Please check what color this is set too, if you see the axis on the chart but still do not see the BarTimer text please send your workspace that you have this chart saved too [email protected]. Could be something going on there we would want to look into and test.

buggy bug
