Important request - Chart navigation - Add datetime to chart header

    Hi,

I found significant problem with using NT8 charts, that makes them much harder to use comparing to NT7.

It is very hard to navigate in chart and find some specific datetime, because
there is no visible information (like date / time), about datetime of the last visible bar.
One simply does not know, where he is, when scrolling or moving charts quickly.

When you scroll you have no usable chart-location information you could you to navigate more left/right..
I know there is also date somewhere on X-axis, but when you have wider bars, than there is 10 time values and somewhere between them one date value. Location of the date is everytime on different place as you scroll, so you have to look for it many many times, until you find the exact searched bar... just look at example in image above.

The smaller the timeframe of the chart is, the worse is the situation = the dates are more rare,
and you have to scroll, to even find them ) This is not very user friendly and needs to be improved.

Just try the same scenario in NT8 and NT8 chart, to fully understand:
    • open 6E 1min charts for years 2010 - 2016
    • press Ctrl + PgDown to make the bars wider and disable session break lines.
    • now scroll the chart to any choosen datetime in the chart.

There is strong need for clear visible information, displaying exact datetime of the last bar
    while chart is moving.
    • when scrolling over chart
    • or jumping via Ctrl PgUp / PgDown.
    • navigating via arrows
    • simply anytime, when chart is moving

This could be achieved by multiple ways like:
    • dynamic information somewhere on header
    • location info panel should popup - just while scrolling (then hide after scrolling finished)

NT8 charts are definitely better in all other ways, but this missing chart orientation (missing datetime of last-bar) is very serious issue, causing pain when we are using them.

Look, how great it worked in NT7:

    Thanks for your post.

In the Chart Properties (Right click in chart --> Properties) enable the property "Show date range". The information will be displayed in the top left of the chart panel.
