Need help on Indicators

Hello,

I am newbie to NT and would need help to get started. As a first assignment I have been given an indicator zip and asked to run it in NT8.

Basically this indicator shall display session start and end vertical lines for each of the four official Forex sessions, two generic sessions and two session breaks for following market:

• Sydney
• Tokyo
• London
• New York
• Sub-session 1
• Sub-session 2

I have installed the NT8 and could able to import the indicator. How can I run this indicator so in the chart, it shows above sessions in vertical lines.

I appreciate help to get me started on this. BTW I have very strong programming skills so please let me know if I need to write any code for this. Although I have been told this first assignment is just a testing task to run the indicator.

Please provide guidance to help me start on this.

If you have imported the indicator, you will need to create a new chart to be able to use it.

Before you can use chart you need to make sure you have connected to a data provider.

Thanks for your reply. I have started simulated data feed and created a chart as you suggested. I included my custom indicator to the chart but the display is not as per expectation. The actual display is

Basically the colors for different session breaks are missing, expected breaks colors are

Sydney Start: Blue
Sydney End: Cyan
Tokyo Start: Purple
Tokyo End: Magenta
London Start: Maroon
London End: Red
New York Start: Green
New York End: Lime
E-Mini Start: Black
E-Mini End: Gray

Please advice how can I proceed and fix the issue.

Thank you for your response.

I would recommend contacting the developer of the indicator for information on using their indicator.

We can help you to see if there is any errors. Go to the Log tab of the Control Center, do you see any errors reported? If so, please detail the messages.
