Default drawing tool template color not working

I just created a new workspace without indicators... I found that I have an indicator which is causing the problem... NT8 is working as expected. Please close the ticket.

Thank you for the additional details.

Just to confirm I am completing the same steps, I had done the following but did not see the result:

In a chart I pressed F2 and drew a line.
I opened the lines properties and changed it to a dashed red line.
I clicked the template menu and Saved these settings as "Default" without quotes.
I clicked OK
I pressed F2 again and drew another line but I do see the Default template is being used.

Can you confirm, have I done the same steps as you had?

Within NT8 I am just going to the drawing tools then clicking on a tool such as the line draw (F2)... I then draw a line, then right click and go into properties. I change the color and line style. I then save the template to Default... When I go back to draw a new line, it has the line style I saved but not the color.... I find this is happening with ray, line, horizontal line... and who knows what else.

Could you tell me what tools you are working with and the properties that are not being saved for those tools?

I would need to check the steps you provide, in general colors and styles should save so it may be an item we would want to look into further.

I am trying to establish a default color for some of the drawing tools... the color does not seem to save. The line style and width work fine. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
