    daily/weekly market analyzer

    running MA with Weekly data column from Tuesday to Friday, Market Analyzer is very slow calculating indicators but having only Daily data from Tuesday to Friday makes Market Analyzer run much faster and very smoothly.

    On Monday though, Market Analyzer is very fast in calculating both Weekly and Daily data

    should i only get weekly values on monday?

    added 20th Sep 2016:

    amex1 (attached) is a list of approx. 200 symbols traded on the NYSE and NASDAQ.

    The original list has 625 symbols but NT recommended I use 3 MA windows and split the listup into 3 parts (Amex1, 2 & 3). Attached is amex1 and includes symbols from A to E.

    I'm finding it very difficult to get the list working before market open, especially with EMA5,

    any advise appreciated.

    I tried 3 setups using columns:

    1.Intruments
    2.Last Close
    3.Daily High
    4.Daily Low
    5.VOL (On bar close / Daily)
    6.VOLMA30 (On bar close / Daily)
    7.EMA5 (On bar close / Daily)

    and symbol qty:

    1.20 Futures contracts - 1 MA window
    2.600 Equities symbols - 1 MA window
    3.600 Equities symbols across 3 MA windows (approx 200 per window)

    #1 took hours to load
    #2 never loaded.
    #3 each MA took hours to load.

    EMA5 is definately a problem ... Market Analyzer appears unable to calculate this efficiently?

    Thank you for your post.
    Please send me your log and trace files and workspace files so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

    Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

    Ensure 'Workspace files' is checked as well.

      ok creating a fresh log/trace set now but takes many hours.

        After several hours they all came up within one minute of the open.

        will now try the same with 20 symbols (will first clear Logs and trace)

        log + trace sent to Platform Support referencing this post.

            Hello,
            We received your files and I have tested the setup.
            The issue seems to lie in that the days back for the column setting is set to 2 days back. This should change to 365 when you select to load based off of days, I will be reporting this to our development team. Indicators need 20 bars to calculate data, when there are only 2 days to load it only has 2 bars to calculate off this causes the columns to take a while to load.

            Please change the Days Back setting in the column settings for the indicators to 365 and let me know if you receive the same.
