    Close order in NT just cancels stop and target orders in IB

    Two things happened to me today:

    I opened a position in the ES future. I then close it on NT but all it does is it deletes both profit and stop loss orders on IB TWS without closing the trade.

    Then I try to close on TWS and I backfires sending some kind of order that opens 4! contracts on NT and consequently to IB TWS. Leaving me the only option of closing NT and only then I could close my positions.

    May I send a log file to you to know what happened? There are errors in the log such us "cancel attempted when order is not in a cancellable state" External rejected, external cancelled, and then four fills.

    Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support.

    Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

    Please list 'ATTN: Patrick H - 1576033' in the subject line.

      I sent the log file two days ago and an email confirming I had sent it correctly.

      Could you tell me something about it? have you found anything?

        Thank you for your update.

        We did not receive your files. Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
        • Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
        • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to an email to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with 'ATTN: Patrick H - 1576033' in the subject line.
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
