    Time/Chart Error

    I'm having a problem with time syncing with the charts in NT8. This seems to have started today because I don't recall having this sync problem before (although maybe it is the first time I've noticed it).

    The first chart is NT 8 showing the EURUSD on a 1 hour time frame. We are in the 7PM hour, as shown by the clock on the computer, but NT 8 is showing 8PM in the data box as well as showing 20.00 on the chart. I set my computer to 6PM, restarted NT8 and it still shows 8:00PM. NT 8 is running one hour ahead of time for some reason.

    In the second picture is FXCM Marketscope which shows the same chart, on the same time frame however everything is in sync. Instead of showing the bar at 20.00 is is showing correctly at 19:00.

    I tried NT 7 and the 1st time it was an hour off but the next time I opened it the time was correct.

    Is my data feed for Ninja Trader corrupt? Something is wrong somewhere.

    Hello Segwin, thank you for your post.

    NinjaTrader uses your PC clock as its time so you would have to change your time zone settings to the same time zone as FXCM's Marketscope.

    Please take the steps below to change/check your Time Zone and sync the PC clock:
    1. Close NinjaTrader.
    2. Open the Windows Control Panel
    3. Select Date and Time
    4. Press 'Change time zone...'.
    5. Set the time zone and press 'OK'.
    6. Click on Internet Time tab.
    7. Set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update.
    8. Ensure to check for a message under the Update button that says it was successful.
    9. If it did not properly sync, even after a few tries, try manually setting your PC clock and then syncing.
    10. Your PC clock should now be updated.


    After adjusting the time zone and syncing the PC clock, please let me know if you continue to experience the same.
