Test-Mail from Share-Service "Email" results in "Syntax Error"

I'm trying to setup a Share Service of Type "Email" under Options, using the very same user and settings I also use for alerts and notifications from my NAS or my Backup-Software.

I configure a connection server that uses SSL, set it to a specific port (here: 465) and enable "Connection - SSL".

Sending out a Test-Mail via Button "Send e-mail test" results in two errors in the Log-Tab, saying "There was an error sending a mail message: Syntax error, command unrecognized." and no mail is sent.


Note:
When using a different path with port "25" for non-SSL mails, plus option "Connection-SSL" disabled, sending test-mails do work - seems to be an issue in NT8 RC2 when using SSL for mails.

Perhaps you would rephrase the title of SFT-950 to "when activating the existing SSL-feature in a share-service, NT8 creates or hits a SyntaxError" - it's only a simple bug-observation to be forwarded to the developers, not some feature request of mine.
