Data feed different nt7 and nt8

i load fdax 12-16 in nt7 and nt8

i reset instrument and DB in nt7 and nt8

they are different....see pics

Hello turbofib, and thank you for your report.

Would it be possible to send us a screen shot from NT7 without the Gil_Ross Hook indictator, or any other indicator, applied, clearly showing the time range on the bottom, and one from NT8 clearly showing the time range at the bottom, to make it easier for us to test on our end? Please also press ctrl + f on each chart and send your data series settings as well.

It appears one of our partner vendor's products, your hook indicator, may have been altering the shape of one of your bar sets. Please let us know if there are any other ways we can help.

if i load chart without indicator...Why it can give me problem?

While I do not know enough about our partner vendor's product to weigh in, I can say that it's usually the case it just affects the way bars are displayed. The Heiken-Ashi is one indicator (bar type in NT8) that does this.

I would like to recommend, if you are comparing an NT7 chart to an NT8 chart, that you use the data box. You can bring this up with ctrl + D . This will let you see all the price values exactly by hovering over any bar.

I would also like to recommend, if you do have an indicator that changes the way bars are displayed, to keep 2 copies of the same data series and only apply the indicator to one of them.

This difference is expected. With NinjaTrader 7 using Continuum, daily bars are built using an RTH session template. We changed this with NT8 to use ETH which better matches other data feeds.

sorry to but in, so if he uses 1440min instead of daily then it would look the same as the ETH in NT8?

If we are using 1440 minute bars, using the RTH (the default) in NT8, this will start and stop bars at different times from both NT7 and NT8's ETH, and the bars will each also have a shorter duration.
