    Historical data, import

Hello, I have successfully created an instrument and imported historical data associated to the instrument I created. I can open a chart with my instrument and customized historical data.
My historical data is about 9 000 days, and that is also what I specify when opening the chart. However, the chart only shows 1 661 days, not the whole range of data (9 000 days).
Am I missing some setup, or is there a limit of 1 661 days in a chart?

AndBro, thank you for your post!

Please answer the following questions so that I may assist further.

Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

(For a chart) what interval is selected?

Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      Hello Riley,

      1. I did my test offline, not connected (otherwise, I’m connected to yahoo).
      2. The instrument is defined by myself (see it as a dummy). I first made an Instrument-list, and then added my instrument to that list.
(and expiry if applicable) ?? I don’t know what you mean. Anyway, instrument is show from today-data and 1661 days back.
      3. Data series type is set to Day, Load data based on Days, days to load is set to 9000, end date is set 2016-10-21
      4. No errors in log

      New information:
My input textfile is about 9000 days, and start from 1980-01-01 (long time ago), however when I check the database in Ninja Tools-> Historical data I see that it only covers data for year 2016 back to 2010.
When I imported the textfile, I got a successful load message. Anyway, data must somehow get lost in the import process, and that is where the problem is I assume.
I have checked my imputfile, and I cannot find something strange around the years 2010-2009, that could have cause problem in the import process.
The first day in the chart is 2010-02-25, and this is how my input looks like around these days:
      20100222;62.70;62.80;61.85;61.90;3613731
      20100223;62.00;62.60;60.50;60.50;6704666
      20100224;60.40;61.00;59.20;60.40;11518951
      20100225;60.30;61.45;59.50;60.00;7814431
      20100226;60.35;60.60;59.60;60.35;4737280
      20100301;61.00;62.00;60.45;61.90;4250565
      20100302;63.10;64.80;62.00;64.05;11762191
      20100303;64.20;64.60;63.30;64.20;6156143
Well, my initially question has been change to problem during the input process, or limitations in Ninja database. Any ideas?

      /Thank you, AndBro

Hello Riley. Please stop your trouble shooting … I have found the problem. It is all done by my mistake. I have been importing a “smaller” version of my instrument data file, and that file starts from 2010. So stupid of me, and I am sorry I have taken your time for investing something working correct. Sorry again, and I will be more careful in the future.

          Thank you, Anders
