    'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in NinjaTrader.Core.dll"

    "An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in NinjaTrader.Core.dll"

    NT 8 RC2 crashed while I was trying to change on 7 linked charts from GC 12-16 to CL 12-16.

    See attached screenshot, scary, just like the US election.

    Thanks for your post,

    Please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with your log and trace files included as an attachment to the email, so I may investigate this matter further.


    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.



    Put 'Att Shawn', in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'. Also, give a reference of this thread in the body of the email.

      please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with your workspace files so I may test for this behavior on my end?


      You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support > Make sure under Other files to check the 'Workspace files and UI settings box before clicking Send.


      Put 'Att Shawn', in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'. Also, give a reference of this thread in the body of the email.

        new type of crash

        Another crash this evening when I've tried to shutdown NT 8 RC2...

        One of the linked chart - 15 minutes - wouldn't close.
        See attached.

        I'll send the email shortly.

        ps.: I've enver saw these type of crashes before... I guess something new was introduced with RC2

          Hello,

          I got same crash error today. I do not remember that in RC1 or Beta 12 was this kind of errors so frequent. From stability point of view it looks to me that Beta 12 was so far the best one imho.
