    NT8 RC2 uneven line duplication

On range and renko based charts, draw a line or ray whose ending point is farther right than the current candle, then copy/paste it. The new duplication will not have the same angle.

    Hello gubbar924,

    Thank you for your post,

I do see the same behiaor on my end with the drawing objects on range and renko charts. I'll forward to our Development team to look into further.

    Thank you for reporting!

      Along the same lines ...

On any chart, if you have snap mode enabled (tested with snap mode set to Bar and Price), when moving a line around, the snap mode will still work but it will cause the angle of the line to change.

This is because rather than snapping the whole line (and keeping the angle intact), sometimes it only snaps one anchor point when you are moving the line around. This may just be due to where the bars are that come between where you've clicked on the line and the farther out anchor point of the line. As a result, what ends up happening is that only 1 anchor point will snap to a candle while the other anchor point stays with your mouse click/drag, effectively changing the angle of your line.

I wasnt sure if this qualifies as a bug or it does this by design.

        Hello gubbar924,

        Thank you for your reply,

This one would be by design with Snap mode.

Let us know if we may assist further.

          Thanks for reporting.

Due to new architecture in NinjaTrader 8 dealing with drawing objects and drawing anchor points into the future on variable time frame charts (e.g. Range chart vs Minute Chart) this is currently expected. The reason has to do with how the anchor value into the future are calculated are more accurately put, constantly recalculated to maintain visual slope as new data comes in. A copied drawing tool instance is not subject to this recalculation which causes the difference you see over time strictly with drawing tools which have an anchor into the future on a variable time frame chart.

As such the behavior seen is expected and we will be watching this area of the platform for more customer feedback.
