    Crash in RC2

    I just had a crash on two test machines - is there something I can send to allow NT Support to diagnose the reason. It was a hard crash. I looked in the logs but did not immediately see something.

    Thank you for the post.

    The log and trace files would be the first item we would want to look at. I would suggest to provide the log and trace files to our support through platform support [at] ninjatrader [dot] com. If there are any errors being generated we could look further into those. If there is nothing being logged, the next step would likely be to identify what action is causing the crash.

    For example if you are applying a specific indicator and seeing a crash, we could look at that scenario to see why that is happening. If you can provide any more detail on the steps that happened prior to the crash that could help determine what steps to take to find the problem.

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

    Open your NinjaTrader 8 folder under Documents.
    Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      I sent them with the application earlier (Help > email support) - can send them to the above address manually if you would like too. I think they go to the same address though.

        I personally have not yet received the files yet, potentially they have not been received at this time or another support member is taking a look. If you could manually send in the same message and attach the log and trace files I could look into it further. Please include a link to this post in the email for reference also.
